DIY Fall Wreath

Posted by Jessica Jones on

With school back in session I am already looking ahead to fall and grabbing some decorations for the house, I know it seems early but I have found that if I wait too long all the good decorations are taken. This year I didn't  see a fall wreath that I liked for a reasonable price so I decided to try the DIY route.

I have to say I was quite pleased with the way the wreath turned out, and for a total of $5 in supplies and about 15 minutes to make I was happy with the price as well!

Supplies:

Felt

Glue Gun

Old CD

Marker

Scissors

Plain Wreath

Instructions:

1. Gather all your supplies and plug in the glue gun (be sure to have something under the glue gun to catch any glue that may fall out).

2. Use an old CD as a template and trace a circle onto the felt color of your choice.

3. Cut out the circle, then cut the felt in a spiral.

4. Start with the smallest part of spiral felt strip and start wrapping around.

5. Dab some hot glue on the end to secure it closed and then put a generous amount of hot glue on the back of the flower before adhering to the wreath.

6. Complete the process until you have enough flowers on your wreath.
