About Spark

Spark & Spark began when two moms and friends decided to share their spark (a.k.a. creativity) to create modern and cute goodies their own kids could enjoy.

What started as a small line of handmade greeting cards and birth announcements evolved into a diverse array of paper goods, educational and cute personalized gifts, sold in a variety of retail stores and online stores all over the U.S. and other farther-away parts of the world.

We believe in "Embracing life’s moments" through little details that make life more rich and personal. We love developing one of a kind personalized gifts the whole family can enjoy. We get a big smile in our face when we hear stories, from our clients and friends, about the happiness and pride kids and grown ups feel, when they receive one of our personalized products as a gift with their name on it.

A little bit about the faces behind Spark & Spark...

Belina L. Lizarzabal

Co-Founder & Lead designer

Belina has been designing since she was a child. She grew up with a love for color, form and function, creating all kinds of crafts projects. Since 6th Grade, she was in charge for designing almost all of her school's special event programs and invitations.

Belina graduated with a BS degree in advertising and graphic design from the University of Miami. Shortly after, she moved to New York City, where her true call for starting her own business began and founded Chispa Design in 2006. After a few years in New York city, she and her husband decided to return to Miami and both welcomed their baby son "Sebastian".

In 2011, she welcomed her long-time friend Jessica Welle to take Chispa Design to the next level, and Spark & Spark was born.

Jessica has been a very business oriented girl + a passionate for handcrafts and design. Born and raised in Venezuela, she studied Accounting at Universidad del Zulia. Her main passion for traveling brought her over to the US to experience a new way of living. Aside from traveling, she's always loved to be creative with handcrafts & party decorations. Many of her first years in the US were spent as the head of the logistics and purchasing for a large satellite communications co.; where she gained a wealth of experience on international trading and business operations.

In 1994, she married her love, Henrik Welle, an underwater photographer originally from Germany. They welcomed their baby daughter "Maya" in 2010.

Years back when she met Beli, the two instantly clicked and became great friends, sharing many things in common, specially the love for modern and clean design. Jessica would always admire, dream and talk to Beli about all the possiblities that could be accomplished with her designs. Finally the two friends and new moms decided to join their sparks and stablish what is known today as Spark & Spark.

With every item we create, we find new ways to help you share your warmth and kindness with others. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we love creating them.
